Good Course to get a starting point on dealing with streaming data on GCP

More quizzes would be nice

Instructor content is very strong, but they need to invest more effort in keeping the labs relevant and up to date. In some cases the mandatory Qwiklab labs do not work, and in these situations in particular they don't provide value in reinforcing what is presented in the lectures - and ultimately what you need to know to pass the GCP data engineer certification exam.

Some of the samples are in Java which makes the lab not of much use.

Good course that gives an introduction to GCP products used for stream processing. I would highly recommend following the documentation along the course.

Good course overall. Would've liked more "do it yourself" activities, but otherwise - it was fine.

Qwiklabs lack of clarity in lab instructions spoiled the experience.

Had some problems with opening multiple consoles and a '--description=...' param changed to something like '--display_name=...'

It teaches the basics but I am not convinced this course prepares the student for the Data Engineering Google Certification. For example, in the practice exam there are questions on topics that are not covered in this course. For example, IAM, Dataprep, Transfer Appliance, Storage Transfer Service, Cloud Bigtable cbt tool, Snapshots and Encryption. Some of the questions in the practice exam imply the student has taken Google Cloud Architect certification to cover topics omitted from the Data Engineer course given here. This anomaly should be addressed.

I have gained some good amount knowledge on GCP with respect to Machine learning and stream data processing.

Too much of things we easily forget. Lack of exercises to fix in memory important steps.

Very basic, no significant hands on. Quiz are trivial, labs are a series of "next" buttons...

This course/specialization is seriously insufficient in order to pass the GCP certification. A lot of knowledge from the Architecture course would still be necessary. The disclaimer about work experience does not cover that.

3 out of the four QwikLabs on this course do not work. There is a bug in the script provided by QwikLabs. It is very hard to learn using these materials

Generally, badly designed. I have written enough comments already. Will look at finding other methods to learn the material better so I can feel confident that I understand it well enough to pass the exam.

I DON'T HAVE ACCESS TO ALL THE FUCKING VIDEOS DO SOMETHING PLS

To be honest this whole specialization is a scam. There is promise of preparing to Data Engineer Cert, but the course just skims most of the topics, missing a lot others entirely. Please, at least have decency not to advertise it like this and remove it from official google certification page.

Content are hard to understand. English accent are hard to understand too.

Looked like course was completed in hurry, many questions were unanswered in the lab demo. Lab demo was not guided properly. They should consider, might be someone who knows nothing... like me.
