I thought this was one of the best ESG related courses I have taken. The course was recent, relevant and very interesting. Great material and case examples. I think a very balanced view was presented.

While the content was interesting, it was not demonstrated how EXACTLY ESG is integrated in business operations. Also, following the course was quite tiring from time to time, as there were not enough visual incentives, i.e. compelling slides etc.

The course was stretched and could have been compacted and straight to the point. It includes a lot of financial knowledge.

The professor clearly has extensive knowledge in subject area. His style is not particularly compelling, but is not ofputting in any way.

There are serious issues, however, with the organization of thoughts in videos, and particularly in slides. The lectures did not have a clearly stated and organized goal, and it was easy to lose track of the point of particular video. Some areas could also have used much more depth, and defining or giving explanation of some of the lingo being tossed around would have very helpful. Some of the anecdotal evidence provided through case studies was clearly more ESG relevant than others. Part-way through the course, blatant promotion of measures being developed The Wharton Schools ESG Analytics Lab became the norm, and no pro/con of this or more in-depth comparison of this measure with others was provided (other than, primarily, that it is measured in dollars for easy integration into business practices). There were clearly many ideas that needed to be convyed in regards to ESG risks and opportunities, but there was a lack of depth and cohesion in the framing and organization of those ideas.

This was was compounded by the atrocious quality of the slides. The slides were what I would expect from an average first year undergrad student. Spoken were sentences broken into sub-bullets (and sometimes sub-sub-bullets) by just erasing some words in the sentence and moving subsequent text into the next bullet, without any thought put into how the thought should be represented in sub-bullets. This resulted sub-bullets that often times made no sense, lacked adequate context, or were just overall very poorly organized, making them largely useless without extensive notes and narrative context added. Frankly, I was shocked that these slides were given a Go.

Finally, there appears to be some quiz questions that were not covered anywhere in the material.

The course cover a range of topics related to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors and their impacts on business performance and financial outcomes. It delves into the challenges and opportunities that ESG presents for investors, companies, and other stakeholders, as well as the various approaches and frameworks used to measure and analyze ESG data. The course also covers the integration of ESG factors into investment strategies and financial decision-making. Overall, it seems like a comprehensive and informative course for those interested in the intersection of sustainability and finance.

I really liked the course as it touched the main aspects around ESG risks and opportunities. It talked about the importance of ESG through different case studies.

One suggestion would be to make the session more interactive through different learning aids and presentation. The medium of instruction can be tweaked a little as it becomes mundane listening to the instructor at times. A photo or video at top and voice over in the background can certainly improve the pedagogy.

Overall, appreciate the content.

As a total beginner in this field this was very easy for me to follow. I am not very familiar with many business, financial and economic terms as I come from environmental sciences background, yet I was able to understand what ESG is and why it is important. quizzes were a great way to deepen my understanding on the topic but they were not overwhelming

I enjoyed the course. Learnt a lot and appreciated the sincerity of the trainer. In addition to the oral lectures, I would have liked to have access to a brief written course compendium / summaries, and link to some of the many articles and resources mentioned. I did not find the slides very helpful, but relied on listening to the video lectures.
