(Music) Hello and welcome to this introductory course on Computer Vision. I'm Yi. I am Sacchit, and together we will be your instructors for this course. Computer Vision is one of the hottest fields in AI and is revolutionizing all kinds of industries. It is making tremendous advances in fields such as self-driving cars, retail, robotics, law enforcement, health diagnostics, and so on. According to a report published by GlobeNewswire, the Computer Vision market will be worth $48.2 billion by the end of 2023. This means that this is a great time to learn about Computer Vision and enter the workforce. This course will teach you all the essentials that you will need for kick-starting your career in Computer Vision. Whether you are coming from academia or industry, this course will provide you with the fundamental knowledge of how computer vision works and will equip you with the practical skills to be a part of this booming field. The only prerequisite required for this course is some background in Python programming and an eager desire to learn about how computers process and visually interpret images. This course is comprised of six modules. In the first module you will be introduced to Computer Vision, and how it could be applied across various industries. In module 2 and 3, you'll learn about image classification and how to build a custom image classifier using IBM Watson. In module 4, you will learn how to use the Python programming language for developing and training custom image classifiers. In module 5, you will utilize OpenCV for performing image processing, error quantization and image compression. In the final module, you will work on a project to create and train custom image classifiers. You will then deploy your classifier as a Web app on the Cloud. This course has a significant applied component to it. In order to get the most out of this course, you will need to complete the various hands-on labs and activities as you progress through the modules. In doing so, you will be armed with practical skills for applying Computer Vision techniques across various domains. Good luck. Let's get started. (Music)
