[MUSIC] Hello, my name is Ralf Brockhaus. I would like to welcome you to the Swift class which we teach for UCI at Coursera. With me today I have Justin Toyama and Frank Ayers. So the three of us are teaching this class as a team. I definitely would like to congratulate you actually, for taking this class, for learning something new or actually also, for getting better at something you already know pretty well. We are very highly motivated on learning new things, we strive on emerging technologies. I've been teaching at UCI now for about 12 years, different classes aside from my day job just to keep up with technology. To learn new things and to fulfill my need to actually have also hands on experience with coding. So with that, I would like to introduce Justin. >> Hi, I'm Justin Toyama and I'm the lead iOS developer at SmileFish where I've been working with Ralf and Frank for about four years now. And I really enjoy working with iOS, I very much enjoy working with the team here, and I get to do iOS all day. Everyday even when I'm not at work sometimes, but it's okay, it's really fun to work with, and lately, I've been burning at the candle at both ends working with the Watch, and watchOS 2, WatchKit 2, and TBOS, and the updates that are coming out for that. It's pretty exciting and really fun to work with. So I hope that you get some of that excitement that I have and you can really turns into something that you enjoy doing just as much as I do, and hopefully you get paid for it too. >> And I'm Frank Errs and I've been programming for about 20 years now. iOS since about 2010, and I really enjoy programming. For iOS, Justin's doing a lot of that now and I spend a lot of my time on the back-end in the database. I'd still do a lot of iOS, but I enjoy the whole breadth of programming and like Justin said, I think we're all very excited about programming. And if we can take that and bring that to you and this course. And like the fire that we have throughout, and giving to the development and just great build knowing we've done our job. >> That's all we have a pretty, nice, motivated team here and I hope that motivation carries forward. I know it's difficult to start a course and then follow all the way through, do all the exercises, but we really would like to motivate you to take all the exercises, and preferably even do the certificate in the very end. So we set set enjoy the course and good luck with it. [MUSIC]
