Wow, I am so delighted that you enjoyed our courses so much that you've decided to glimpse into the world of research with me. Of course, all the content we've discussed in our courses so far has been developed by researchers in the past. Many of the topics and examples we went through together relate to fundamental work in strategy and organization. Stuff that we often find in textbooks. The exciting thing about research, though, is that it's constantly changing. Existing views are challenged. Scholars bring forward new arguments and perspectives. And different topics of interest emerge along with a changing environment. Remember for example how we also discuss recent trends such as new forms of organizing in a course strategic organization design. Are you interested in finding out more about what researchers today are working on? Which topics your professors like me actually deal with outside of the lecture hall. Do you want to see how they contribute to building new knowledge that the students of tomorrow will learn? You may remember seeing a freaky yet, delicious looking skull icon on some of our slides inviting you to join the research kitchen. Yep, that I can was my idea. In the research kitchen, I will briefly put together what I, my colleagues, as well as our fellow researchers and friends are currently working on. Selective of course, representative, no but I do hope you will get a taste of what researchers about. And maybe some of you will be inspired to do some research yourself. To get you going, how about you kick-off with some brief light point sessions right in my home territory The Institute for Strategy, Technology and Organization. Here in LMU Munich .on paper, we would just take most one to two minutes of your time, so please just have a look. This is an extra goodie that we have prepared especially for you so I really do hope you enjoy it. It's pretty cool, right? Let's get cooking then.
