[MUSIC] Welcome back, and let's talk for a few minutes about choosing a hosting service. I mentioned last time that free hosting was one of the options. And while it's true that it is, we definitely have few things to consider. The word free can make it attractive, but free hosting sites are usually slow, and they often have hidden charges. And by hidden charges I mean it's starts out free, but later it becomes not free. And at that point you may already be able to be used to the free service or the formally free service, and feel obligated to pay. Free hosting services often have advertisements. That means that people that visit your site will also see ads that have nothing to do with you or your site. You may not like the ads that are being shown, and there's usually nothing you can do about it. And finally, free hosting sites usually have limited tools. One of the good reasons to pay for a hosting service, is because they give us useful tools for a low cost. And free hosting sites often fail to give us those same tools because, of course, we're not paying them. So let's consider then, what it might look like to choose a low cost hosting site. Where there is some cost but it's not terribly expensive. But before we go to that point, let me tell you that there is no requirement, that you have a hosting service while you're developing your site. So you can work your way through this class, without choosing a hosting site, without paying any money, if you saw choose. And develop your website, and be able to tune it and adjust it as you like. And finally later when you're ready, you can choose your hosting site. This should give you ample time to do research, usually research on the internet, to find just exactly the right host for low cost or free. And let's look at this for a moment. Now, GoDaddy is a big name in web hosting, and they're generally reputable. And notice here, for their so called economy site, is $1 a month. Or their deluxe is essentially $7 or finally, their ultimate is 12. So, my suggestion would be to choose something like GoDaddy's economy's site, but it's always important to read the fine print. Now in this case, they are offering one website. Unlimited bandwidth, and let me explain what that means. It means that people can visit your site and download your pages, and will get your images as much as they like, and there's no additional charge to you. And that you can store up to 100 gigabytes which is quite a lot of information to store on the server for your website, if hou were to need that much. Most sites do not need this much storage but some do. So, this is economical but there would fine print if you selected it and wanted to possibly choose it. So you need to make this is what you wanted, and I suggest that you do something like make sure you can cancel it any time. Make sure you understand how the price might go up, or any of those sorts of things. And again, you don't need to make this decision at this point in the course. But if you'd like to work on getting your hosting service in place, in parallel as you work here within the course. So you can place your website in development actually on the internet, and have your friends and family be able to see it, that's fine. But this is definitely a personal choice. So that's all for this lesson, and I will talk to you next time.
